I love Brian. Because of the Donald Duck voice. Because he wears geeky sweaters that make him look so soft and snuggly while still retaining underlying hardness. Because he's underappreciated. Because he still thinks Ace Ventura impressions are funny. Because he doesn't really come across as super psycho protective. Because of the Jamie Foxx incident. Because he climbed into the van smiling, saying that he went back for the champagne. Because someone backstage heard what he said to Mr. Foxx. Because Brian IS protective. Because he loves his dogs. Because he has the voice of an angel. Because he doesn't seem to pay attention at all when he dances. Because of the fist waving. Because he can't sing with his eyes open even when he tries. Because the first thing he noticed about LeighAnne was her hairy knees and he still married her. Because he doesn't seem too upset that Kevin and AJ are pissed that the One was a single. Because he has huge nostrils. Because he's a fighter. Because he was forced to perform so soon after heart surgery with an oxygen tank standing by offstage. Because he's completely unapologetic about refusing to pose in the naked girl picture. Because of the numerous quirky hand gestures. Because of the cheesy grin accompanied by the little shoulder shrug. Because he grabbed AJ's crotch on stage at the Grammies. Because he lets Nick stick pumpkin seeds up his nose. Because he's a good sport. Because he likes to be called Rok. Because he named his kid Baylee Thomas Wylee. Because he disappears for long lengths of time and then looks so happy when he pops back up again. Because he let AJ win in bowling. Because he's such a happy daddy.

I love AJ. Because he's a dork. Because he only pretends to be cool. Because he is a musical theatre fan. Because he was on "Hi, Honey, I'm home!". Because he admitted he had a problem. Because he got help. Because he addresses the "fellas" by their nicknames. Because he loves his puppies. Because of the hands of God and Adam tattoo. Because sometimes he doesn't think before he speaks. Because he admits to filling in his facial hair with mascara. Because he holds his head high. Because he's younger than he seems. Because he's smooth, fluid, graceful. Because he can be sex personified. Because he hides behind hats and sunglasses. Because he wears prescription sunglasses. Because he wants to go golfing with his boys as a bachelor party. Because he's close to his family. Because his voice can be and is deep, and rich, and unique. Because he falls and gets up and tries again. Because he doesn't gloss things over. Because he loves his dogs. Because he went on the radio with Nick. Because he's had it pretty rough. Because he thinks the Backstreet Boys will be together forever. Because he truly sucks at Basketball. Because he dabbles in photography. Because he doesn't hide how he feels. Because he's human.

I love Howie. Because he seems like a genuinly nice person. Because he calls Nick "Nicky" even though Nick says that he hates that. Because Nick doesn't seem to hate it when Howie uses it. Because his hair has issues. Because of his love for his family. Because sometimes he's so dorky that it hurts. Because of his sentence structure. Because of his growing dedication to songwriting. Because of "How did I fall in Love With You". Because he's a little salsa god. Because he always seems to look at the positive side of things. Because he snores. Because he sleeps clutching a stuffed animal with his mouth hanging open. Because he's the only backstreet boy with any sort of college education. Because it's pretty clear he would do just about anything for the boys. Because he says he's not ready to settle down. Because he lets Nick harrass him and hug him and kiss him, and only scrunches up his face and whines a little. Because he went to Nick's video shoot. Because he is there when everyone else seems to disappear. Because he takes his sister to every awards show. Because of his new Zoolander hair. Because his beverages are politically correct. Because he's all for the crossover love. Because he went to see Kevin in Chicago and AJ and Nick in Los Angeles. Because he's supportive no matter what else is going down.

I love Nick. Because he was practically raised by the other guys. Because of the beautiful gangly boy. Because of the gorgeous man. Because he seems to mourn the loss of the boy. Because he doesn't appear to know how gorgeous the man is. Because he has no concept of personal space. Because he is a little bit of each of the other guys, and he knows it. Because he has probably been a bit damaged by fame. Because he drapes himself over the others. Because he wears horribly hideous shirts. Because he used Kevin's environmental foundation as a stepping stone to start his own environmental foundation. Because he is a wonderful brother. Because he wrote a caribbean song for a Backstreet album. Because he called into TRL in support of Brian's song. Because he'll choose to spend time with his boys over his family. Because his smile lights up a room. Because he cried for a friend. Because he was bubbling with happiness when that friend got better. Because he's passionate about what he loves. Because he did what he needed to do. Because he could care less what the critics say. Because he loves what he does. Because he's unpolished. Because he's raw. Because of the little foot tattoos. Because of the chains. Because he finally seems comfortable with who he is. Because he has an aversion to underwear. Because of his liner notes. Because he dedicated his album to the guys even though they didn't seem to be on the best of terms at the time. Because he's found himself and seems genuinely happy.

I love Kevin. Because he carries a video camera around with him everywhere. Because he really is the big brother. Because he tries to be all serious and professional but sometimes just can't resist joining in on the fun. Because of the dirty italian face. Because he helped a friend. Because he's so proud. Because he loves AJ. He told Matt Lauer so. Because of the mohawk. Because he's Brian's cousin. Because of "Back to Your Heart." Because he'll devote as much time to fans as he possibly can. Because of the "Nobody but You" dance. Because he's from Kentucky, and damn proud of it. Because he tries to keep Nick in check. Tries. Because of the man skirt. Because he kicked ass on Fear Factor. Because he can flip his eyelids inside out. Because he thinks that watching That Thing You Do is the most creative thing they've ever done in their spare time. Because sometimes when he's thinking it looks like he's not paying attention and so people repeat the question. Because most of his favorite things are the same as my favorite things. Because he stands up for what he believes in. Because of JWR. Because of his stint in Chicago. Because I was blown away when I met him. Because he cares about the fans. Because he surprised Nick at one of his shows. Because he hugged Howie until Howie had to beg him to let go. Because he's absolutely gorgeous. Because of the eyebrows. Because he called Nick to sing I Got You on his machine. Because he worries about Nick's choices. Because he still thinks of them as his little brothers. Because he wears those damn hats. Because he's not afraid to speak his mind.

I love the Backstreet Boys. Because they aren't perfect. Because they don't try to hide their problems. Because of the music. Because of the concerts. Because of the members. Because sometimes they do sound whiny. Because they have ups and downs. Because they aren't afraid to talk about those ups and downs. Because they aren't always happy. Because they don't give up. Because they make mistakes. Because of their serious public exterior. Because of the olfc vids. Because Backstreet Boys can be fun and goofy. Because of "Shape of My Heart." Because they're going back in the studio though no one really believed they would. Because they come together when it counts. Because they're strongest together. Because they cry for one another. Because of "Time." Because they made a consious decision to stay together forever. Because they've grown up in front of cameras. Because they're men now. Because of the "Time Medley" on Rosie, "AIHTG" on the TRL Millenium Special, the Grammy Medley. Because they criticize one another. Because they support one another. Because they both knock each other down and raise them up. Because of this: "We are committed to the Backstreet Boys, and we will protect our group from anybody or anything that tries to break us apart." Because of all the 'blood, sweat, and tears' that they've shared. Because they are fathers, brothers, friends. Because they're still together when it sometimes seems they shouldn't be. Because they understood each other as teenagers and are now coming to understand each other as adults. Because it's been ten years.
